Headquartered in Shanghai, China, Pepoderma is a cosmetic-grade peptide-active atelier supplying brand programmes since 2013. Our buyers are indie beauty brand founders, established skincare R&D labs, med-aesthetic OEMs, cosmetic contract manufacturers, and K-Beauty / J-Beauty / EU beauty houses.
How we're organised
Four functions, one specialty.
Pepoderma is structured so every buyer-facing decision — sample timeline, formulation-stability scope, custom brief, lot release — passes through people who own the relevant function. Inquiries land with Brand Partnerships, but Lot- Data QA and Formulation R&D review every quote that touches a custom-synthesis spec or non-standard carrier before it goes out.

Owns solid-phase peptide synthesis of cosmetic-grade actives — Copper Tripeptide-1, AHK-Cu, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4. Final sign-off on every commercial release and on custom-synthesis lots scoped for brand programmes.

Background
Solid-phase peptide synthesis with progressively heavier cosmetic-active work; cosmetic-INCI-grade formulations and brand-OEM development experience.
Function
Lot-Data QA
Owns the analytical packet for every cosmetic-grade lot — RP-HPLC purity, ESI-MS identity, Karl Fischer water, counter-ion, stability in reference aqueous serum. No lot ships without QA sign-off on the lot report.
Tenure
8–12 years in analytical QA
Background
Analytical method development for peptide actives in cosmetic carriers; calibration and qualification on HPLC, ESI-MS, KF titrators under the Pepoderma analytical SOP.
Function
Formulation R&D
Carrier compatibility, incompatibility flagging (chelators, low-pH oxidants, reductive antioxidants), stability scoping in brand-specific carriers, and custom-synthesis briefs (PEGylation, lipidation, fluorescent / isotope labels for R&D work).

How we work

Pepoderma started in 2013 as a small peptide-synthesis operation supplying cosmetic ingredient houses, and over time concentrated the bench on a single problem: building INCI-documented peptide actives that finished-product brands can drop into a serum, cream, or eye-area formulation without surprise stability work.
Today the atelier ships Copper Tripeptide-1, AHK-Cu, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 under that discipline, and a growing list of bespoke peptide-active programmes for brand operators who need a cosmetic-grade formulation partner — modified Matrixyl variants, custom ratios for OEM brand lines, and isotope-labelled actives for stability and penetration research.
Our positioning is deliberately not the cheapest cosmetic-peptide source. We invest in the lot-data programme (per-lot RP-HPLC, ESI-MS identity, water content, counter-ion, stability in reference aqueous serum) and in the formulation-support side (carrier-compatibility flagging, INCI naming, CPNP-aware documentation) because the brands that need a cosmetic-peptide atelier are the brands that ship the finished product their buyers actually read the label on.
The regulatory context Pepoderma works in is cosmetic — INCI naming under EC 1223/2009 in the EU, NMPA cosmetic ingredient framework in mainland China, FDA OTC monograph framework (where applicable) in the US, and equivalent regimes elsewhere.
