Tirzepatide is a synthetic peptide of 39 residues that acts on two incretin receptors, GIP and GLP-1. Positions 2 and 13 carry 2-aminoisobutyric acid, the C-terminus is amidated, and a C20 fatty diacid is attached to lysine 20 through a linker.
