NAD+ is the oxidised form of β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme built from a nicotinamide nucleotide and an adenine nucleotide joined through a pyrophosphate bridge. Cells use it in redox reactions, paired with its reduced form NADH, and as the substrate of NAD+-consuming enzymes such as PARPs and sirtuins. It is not a peptide; we supply it as a lyophilized powder in vials. On pepoderma it is one of the ageing-biology research compounds of the skin and ageing topic, next to glutathione and SS-31.
